A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to authorizing the sale of certain real property held by
  the Department of Public Safety.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  (a)  As soon as practical, the asset management
  division of the General Land Office shall offer for sale on behalf
  of the Department of Public Safety the real property described by
  Subsection (c) of this section. Except as provided by this section,
  the sale shall be conducted as provided by Section 31.158, Natural
  Resources Code.
         (b)  The General Land Office is not required to offer the
  School Land Board the first option to purchase the real property
  described by Subsection (c).
         (c)  The real property to be sold under this section is as
  follows:
  BEING a 3.000 acre tract of land situated in
  the R. P. Hardin Survey, Abstract No. 611 in
  the City of Frisco, Denton County, Texas,
  and being a portion of a 795.475 acre tract
  of land described in a deed to Stonebriar as
  recoded in Volume 1887, Page 475 of the Deed
  Records of Denton County, Texas, and being
  more particularly described as follows:
  COMMENCING at a 5/8 inch iron set for the
  most southerly southwest corner of said
  795.475 acre tract of land, and being
  located in the easterly right-of-way line
  of St. Louis, San Francisco and Texas
  Railroad (100 foot wide right-of-way);
  THENCE along the easterly line of said
  railroad right-of-way and the west line of
  said 795.475 acre tract of land as follows:
  North 06 deg. 25 min. 41 sec.
  West a distance of 332.96 feet to
  5/8 inch iron set for the POINT
  OF BEGINNING of the herein
  described tract of land;
  North 06 deg. 25 min. 41 sec.
  West a distance of 22.49 feet to
  a 5/8 inch iron set for corner;
  THENCE departing the easterly right-of-way
  line of said railroad and the west line of
  said 795.475 acre tract of land the
  following:
  North 70 deg. 99 min. 03 sec.
  East a distance of 863.65 feet to
  a 5/8 inch iron set for corner;
  South 00 deg. 17 min. 14 sec.  
  West a distance of 300 feet to a
  5/8 inch iron rod set in the
  south line of said 795.475 acre
  tract of land;
  THENCE along the south line of said 795.475
  acre tract of land, South 88 deg. 53 min. 40
  sec.  West a passing distance of 369.18 feet
  to a 5/8 inch iron found for an interior "L" 
  corner located in the aforementioned south
  line, in all a total distance of 806.47 feet
  to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
  CONTAINING within these metes and bounds
  3.000 acres or 130,680 square feet of land,
  more or less, and being subject to easements
  of record.
         SECTION 2.  This Act expires September 1, 2009.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
