A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for justices |
|
|
of the peace. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 504.414 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 504.414. JUSTICES OF THE PEACE. The department shall |
|
|
issue without charge specialty license plates for current justices |
|
|
of the peace of this state. The license plates shall bear the words |
|
|
"Justice of the Peace." |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
