A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to conflicts between regional water plans prepared by |
|
|
regional water planning groups. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 16.053(h), Water Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subdivision (4-a) to read as follows: |
|
|
(4-a) For purposes of this subsection, an |
|
|
interregional conflict includes an inconsistency between the |
|
|
regional water plans proposed by two or more regional water |
|
|
planning groups regarding: |
|
|
(A) the construction of a water project in a |
|
|
particular regional water planning area; or |
|
|
(B) the use of a source of water supply in a |
|
|
particular regional water planning area. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
