AN ACT
  relating to the boundaries of the Airline Improvement District in
  Harris County.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 2, Chapter 572, Acts of the 79th
  Legislature, Regular Session, 2005, is amended to read as follows:
         Sec. 2.  BOUNDARIES. The [As of the effective date of this
  Act, the] Airline Improvement District includes all territory
  contained in the following described area:
         GENERAL BOUNDARIES: THE DISTRICT IS LOCATED WITHIN HARRIS
  COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING GENERALLY BOUNDED WESTERLY BY SWEETWATER LANE
  AND THE CITY OF HOUSTON LIMITS, BOUNDED NORTHERLY BY WEST ROAD,
  BEING THE CITY OF HOUSTON LIMITS AND ALONG AND INCLUDING ALL OF THE
  PROPERTIES WITH AN ADDRESS ON AIRLINE DRIVE AND ALDINE MAIL ROAD,
  BOUNDED EASTERLY BY THE HARDY TOLL ROAD AND THE CITY OF HOUSTON
  LIMITS, AND BOUNDED SOUTHERLY BY CARBY ROAD AND CANINO STREET,
  BEING THE CITY OF HOUSTON LIMITS.
         LOCATED in parts or all of the George Green Survey, Abstract
  281, the D.C. Giddings Survey, Abstract 898, the C. Walter Survey,
  Abstract 849, the J. Hopkins Survey, Abstract 334, the D. Hacker
  Survey, Abstract 1314, Phil Tharp Survey, Abstract 1645, the A. C.
  Allen Survey, Abstract 1295, the M.K. Snell Survey, Abstract 688,
  the T. A. Manefee Survey, Abstract 565, the T. Nellis Survey,
  Abstract 604, the G. Sultzbaugh Survey, Abstract 747, the S.G.
  Powell Survey, Abstract 636, the J. E. Durkee Survey, Abstract
  1068, Abstract 1070, and Abstract 1182, and being more particularly
  described as follows:
         BEGINNING at the intersection of the southerly right-of-way
  line of Canino Street and the westerly right-of-way line of
  Sweetwater Lane (also known as Hacker Road), being an angle point in
  the northerly line of the City of Houston limits;
         THENCE, in a northerly direction, 2.7 miles, more or less,
  along the westerly right-of-way line of Sweetwater Lane and the
  City of Houston limits to the intersection with the southerly
  right-of-way line of West Road;
         THENCE, in an easterly direction, 0.2 miles, more or less,
  along the southerly right-of-way line of West Road and the City of
  Houston limits to the easterly right-of-way line of Airline Drive;
         THENCE, in a southeasterly direction, 0.9 mile, more or less,
  along the easterly right-of-way line of Airline Drive and including
  the properties with the addresses on Airline Drive to the
  intersection of the northerly right-of-way line of Aldine Mail
  Road;
         THENCE, in an easterly direction, 1.5 miles, more or less,
  along the northerly right-of-way line of Aldine Mail Road, and
  including the properties with the addresses on Aldine Mail Road to
  the intersection of the westerly right-of-way line of the Hardy
  Toll Road;
         THENCE, in a southeasterly direction, 0.7 mile, more or less,
  along the westerly right-of-way line of the Hardy Toll Road to the
  centerline of Halls Bayou and the City of Houston limits;
         THENCE, in a westerly direction, 30 feet, more or less, along
  the centerline of Halls Bayou and the City of Houston limits to the
  westerly right-of-way line of a 30 foot drainage ditch easement,
  being an angle point in the City of Houston limits;
         THENCE, in a southwesterly direction, 0.2 mile, more or less,
  along the westerly right-of-way line of said 30 foot drainage ditch
  easement and the City of Houston limits to the intersection with the
  northerly extension of the east line of the S.G. Powell Survey,
  Abstract 636;
         THENCE, in a southerly direction, 0.3 mile, more or less,
  along the northerly extension of the east line of the S.G. Powell
  Survey and the City of Houston limits, crossing Gulf Bank Road, and
  continuing to the northeast corner of the S.G. Powell Survey;
         THENCE, in a westerly direction, 0.2 mile, more or less,
  along the north line of the S.G. Powell Survey and the City of
  Houston limits to the northwest corner of Melrose Park Subdivision,
  Section Six;
         THENCE, in a southerly direction, 0.18 mile, more or less,
  along the west line of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Six and the
  City of Houston limits, passing the southwest corner of Melrose
  Park Subdivision, Section Six to a point in the southerly
  right-of-way line of Mitchell Road;
         THENCE, in a westerly direction, 20 feet, more or less, along
  the southerly right-of-way line of Mitchell Road and the City of
  Houston limits to the northwest corner of Melrose Park Subdivision,
  Section Three;
         THENCE, in a southerly direction, 0.16 mile, more or less,
  along the west line of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Three and
  the City of Houston limits to the southwest corner of Melrose Park
  Subdivision, Section Three;
         THENCE, in an easterly direction, 233 feet, more or less,
  along the south line of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Three and
  the City of Houston limits to the northwest corner of Melrose Park
  Subdivision, Section Four;
         THENCE, in a southerly direction, 0.1 mile, more or less,
  along the west line of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Four and
  the City of Houston limits to the most southerly corner of Lot
  twenty-two, Block Three of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Four;
         THENCE, in an easterly direction, 0.04 mile, more or less,
  along the south line of Lots Twenty-one, Twenty and Nineteen, Block
  Three of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Four, and the City of
  Houston limits to the northwesterly corner of Lot Eleven, Block
  Three of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Four;
         THENCE, in a southerly direction, 0.1 mile, more or less,
  along the west line of Melrose Park Subdivision, Section Four and
  the City of Houston limits passing the northerly right-of-way line
  of Carby Road, and continuing to the intersection with the
  southerly right-of-way line of Carby Road;
         THENCE, in a westerly direction, 0.8 mile, more or less,
  along the southerly right-of-way line of Carby Road and the City of
  Houston limits to the intersection with the easterly right-of-way
  line of Airline Drive;
         THENCE, in a southeasterly direction, 0.2 mile, more or less,
  along the easterly right-of-way line of Airline Drive and the City
  of Houston limits to the southerly right-of-way line of Canino
  Road;
         THENCE, in a westerly direction, 1.3 miles, more or less,
  along the southerly right-of-way line of Canino Road and the City of
  Houston limits to the POINT OF BEGINNING
         [Beginning at the northeast corner of Canino and Sweetwater
         [Thence north along the east right-of-way line of Sweetwater
  a distance of approximately 2.7 miles to the south right-of-way
  line of West Road
         [Thence along the south right-of-way line of West Road
  approximately 0.2 miles to the east right-of-way line of Airline
  Drive
         [Thence south along the east right-of-way line of Airline
  Drive a distance of approximately 0.9 miles to Aldine Mail Route
         [Thence east a distance of approximately 1.5 miles to the
  east right-of-way line of Hardy Road
         [Thence south along the east right-of-way line of Hardy Road
  a distance of approximately 1.1 miles to the City of Houston City
  limits
         [Thence southwest along the north side of the City of Houston
  City limits a distance of approximately 0.5 miles
         [Thence south a distance of approximately 0.3 miles along the
  west side of the city limits
         [Thence east a distance of approximately 233 feet along the
  south side of the city limits
         [Thence south a distance of approximately 0.2 miles to the
  north right-of-way line of Carby Road
         [Thence west along the north right-of-way line of Carby Road
  a distance of approximately 0.8 miles to the west right-of-way line
  of Airline Drive
         [Thence south on Airline Drive a distance of approximately
  0.2 miles to Canino Road
         [Thence west along the north right-of-way line of Canino Road
  a distance of approximately 1.3 miles to the north right-of-way
  line of Canino Road and the Point of Beginning.
         [SAVE AND EXCEPT all tracts or parcels of land,
  rights-of-way, facilities, and improvements owned by an electric
  utility as defined by Section 31.002, Utilities Code].
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
