A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to information displayed on a disabled parking placard. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 681.0031(b), Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) The county assessor-collector shall record the [first
|
|
|
four digits of the] number and the county number assigned by the |
|
|
comptroller to the county issuing the placard [followed by the
|
|
|
initials of the applicant] on any disabled parking placard issued |
|
|
to the applicant. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a disabled parking |
|
|
placard issued on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
