A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the requirements for a gestational agreement. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 160.754(b), Family Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(b) [The intended parents must be married to each other.] |
|
|
Each intended parent must be a party to the gestational agreement. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to a |
|
|
gestational agreement regardless of the date: |
|
|
(1) the agreement was executed; or |
|
|
(2) a proceeding to validate the agreement was |
|
|
commenced. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
