A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to revenue from Texas State Rifle Association specialty
  license plates.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 504.631(b), Transportation Code, is
  amended to read as follows:
         (b)  After deduction of the department's administrative
  costs, the remainder of the fee shall be deposited to the credit of
  an account in the general revenue fund that may be appropriated only
  to the Texas Cooperative Extension of The Texas A&M University
  System as follows:
               (1)  50 percent to supplement existing and future
  scholarship programs supported by the Texas State Rifle
  Association; and
               (2)  50 percent to support the [to provide grants to]
  4-H Shooting Sports Program for youth [Club shooting sports
  programs to promote safety education].
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
