A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to making an appropriation to the Texas Medical Board for |
|
|
the purpose of enforcement activities and to repay a deficiency |
|
|
grant. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. In addition to amounts previously appropriated |
|
|
to the Texas Medical Board for the state fiscal biennium ending |
|
|
August 31, 2007, the amount of $1,570,575 is appropriated out of the |
|
|
public assurance account to the board for the two-year period |
|
|
beginning on the effective date of this Act for the purpose of |
|
|
enforcement activities and to repay the emergency and deficiency |
|
|
funds transferred to the board from the office of the governor for |
|
|
operating costs incurred in the state fiscal year ending August 31, |
|
|
2007. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the |
|
|
legislative session. |
