A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the issuance of Legion of Merit specialty license |
|
|
plates. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 504.316 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 504.316. LEGION OF MERIT MEDAL RECIPIENTS. (a) The |
|
|
department shall issue specialty license plates for persons who |
|
|
have received the Legion of Merit medal. The license plates must |
|
|
include the words "Legion of Merit." |
|
|
(b) The fee for issuance of the license plates is: |
|
|
(1) $10 for the first set of license plates; and |
|
|
(2) $15 for each additional set of license plates. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
