A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to a registered property tax consultant. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1152.152(a), Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) A registered property tax consultant may not perform |
|
|
property tax consulting services for compensation unless the person |
|
|
is employed by or associated with and acting for a registered senior |
|
|
property tax consultant or an attorney licensed to practice law in |
|
|
this state. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
