A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
| |
|
|
relating to the responsibility for and management of the fuel |
|
|
ethanol and biodiesel production incentive program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. (a) The responsibility for and management of the |
|
|
fuel ethanol and biodiesel production incentive program under |
|
|
Chapter 16, Agriculture Code, is transferred from the Texas |
|
|
Economic Development and Tourism Office to the Department of |
|
|
Agriculture. |
|
|
(b) Any assets, duties, functions, and funding for the |
|
|
program, including money in the fuel ethanol and biodiesel |
|
|
production account, are transferred on the effective date of this |
|
|
Act to the Department of Agriculture. |
|
|
(c) A rule of the Texas Economic Development and Tourism |
|
|
Office related to the fuel ethanol and biodiesel production |
|
|
incentive program continues in effect until changed by the |
|
|
Department of Agriculture. |
|
|
(d) A reference in law to "office" in Chapter 16, |
|
|
Agriculture Code, is a reference to the Department of Agriculture. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
