AN ACT
|
|
relating to the funds allocation advisory committee of the Texas |
|
Commission on Fire Protection. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Section 419.054(a), Government Code, is amended |
|
to read as follows: |
|
(a) The funds allocation advisory committee is composed of |
|
six members. Two [Three] members are appointed by the State |
|
Firemen's and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas. Two [Three] |
|
members are appointed by the Texas State Association of Fire |
|
Fighters. Two members are appointed by the Texas Fire Chiefs |
|
Association. A committee member is subject to removal by the |
|
commission. A vacancy on the committee caused by removal of a |
|
member by the commission shall be filled by the authority that |
|
appointed the member who was removed. |
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
