A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the expunction of certain complaint information by the
State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
       BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
       SECTION 1.  Section 801.204, Occupations Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
       (d)  The board by rule shall adopt procedures concerning the
expunction of files on license holders, including complaints,
adverse reports, and other investigative information on license
holders.
       SECTION 2.  The State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
shall adopt rules required by Section 801.204(d), Occupations Code,
as added by this Act, not later than November 1, 2007.
       SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
