A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to exempting certain military personnel from the hunter |
|
|
education program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 62.014, Parks and Wildlife Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (n) to read as follows: |
|
|
(n) The requirements of this section do not apply to a |
|
|
person who is currently serving in or is honorably discharged from: |
|
|
(1) the army, navy, air force, coast guard, or marine |
|
|
corps of the United States or an auxiliary service or reserve unit |
|
|
of one of those branches of the armed forces; or |
|
|
(2) the state military forces, as defined by Section |
|
|
431.001, Government Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
