A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the expunction of certain alcohol-related offenses
committed by a minor.
       BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
       SECTION 1.  Section 106.12, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
       (a-1)  A person convicted of not more than one violation of
this code who has not attained the age of 21 years may apply to the
court in which the person was convicted to have the conviction
expunged under this section, but the court may expunge the
conviction only on a showing by the person of good cause to expunge
the conviction before the person attains the age of 21 years.
       SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
