A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

|
relating to the appointment of a taxpayer liaison officer for |
|
|
certain appraisal districts. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 6.052, Tax Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) The chief appraiser or any other person who performs |
|
|
appraisal services for the appraisal district for compensation is |
|
|
not eligible to be the taxpayer liaison officer for the appraisal |
|
|
district. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
