| relating to the appointment of a taxpayer liaison officer for | |||

| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |||
| SECTION 1. Section 6.052, Tax Code, is amended by adding | |||
| Subsection (e) to read as follows: | |||
| (e) The chief appraiser is not eligible to be the taxpayer | |||
| liaison officer for the appraisal district. | |||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. | |||
