A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the appointment of a taxpayer liaison officer for
  certain appraisal districts.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 6.052, Tax Code, is amended by adding
  Subsection (e) to read as follows:
         (e)  The chief appraiser or any other person who performs
  appraisal services for the appraisal district for compensation is
  not eligible to be the taxpayer liaison officer for the appraisal
  district.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
