A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to access to or from state highways |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subsection 4, Section 203.031, Texas |
|
|
Transportation Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(4) designate locations on a controlled access highway |
|
|
at which access to or from the highway is permitted and determine |
|
|
the type and extent of access permitted at each location: |
|
|
(a) determinations regarding the type and extent of access |
|
|
permitted at each location shall be governed exclusively by an |
|
|
administrative rule promulgated to implement this section. This |
|
|
subsection shall not supersede those ordinances, rules, orders or |
|
|
resolutions exempted by Section 203.032(b), Texas Transportation |
|
|
Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
