school districts and to payments under interlocal contracts.

adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
       (c)  In addition to the requirements otherwise prescribed by
this section, the commissioner shall adopt policies that result in
a reduction of at least 10 percent in the total amount of written
paperwork, reports, and other information that a school district is
required by the agency to prepare, as determined in comparison to
the total amount of written paperwork, reports, and other
information required to be prepared by a school district during the
2006-2007 school year. The policies must be implemented beginning
not later than the 2008-2009 school year. This subsection expires
September 1, 2009.

to an election of trustees of an independent school district, other
than an election of an independent school district that is held
jointly with another election in which a federal office appears on
the ballot, unless the independent school district receives state
or federal funds in an amount sufficient to pay for all costs
associated with providing the voting station [held before January
1, 2008. This subsection expires January 1, 2008].
SECTION 3.  Section 791.011(e), Government Code, is amended
to read as follows:

functions performed under the contract except that nothing shall
prohibit the local government from being reimbursed for its
expenses or sharing in the profits or revenues of the performing
party.
SECTION 4.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
