A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the repeal of the authority of certain water supply or |
|
|
sewer service corporations to dissolve and transfer assets and |
|
|
liabilities to a municipality. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 67, Water Code, is |
|
|
repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The repeal by this Act of Subchapter B, Chapter |
|
|
67, Water Code, does not affect an order of dissolution issued under |
|
|
that subchapter before the effective date of this Act or to a |
|
|
transfer of assets and liabilities of a nonprofit water supply or |
|
|
sewer service corporation initiated under that subchapter before |
|
|
the effective date of this Act, and the former law is continued in |
|
|
effect until the transfer of assets and liabilities is completed or |
|
|
terminated by the municipality. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
