A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the power of the Culberson County Groundwater |
|
|
Conservation District to regulate certain wells and the water |
|
|
produced from those wells. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 1075, Acts of the 75th Legislature, |
|
|
Regular Session, 1997, is amended by adding Section 5A to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
Sec. 5A. APPLICABILITY OF OTHER LAW ON RULEMAKING. Section |
|
|
36.121, Water Code, does not apply to the district. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
