A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to civil liabilities for serving beverages. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Alcoholic Beverage Code is amended by |
|
|
adding Section 2.04 to read as follows: Section 2.04 the Texas |
|
|
Proportionate Responsibility Statute, Texas Civil Practice and |
|
|
Remedies Code, Section 33.02 does not apply to this Chapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007 and |
|
|
applies to all causes of action brought after the effective date of |
|
|
the Statute as well as all causes of action currently pending at the |
|
|
time this Act takes effect. |
