A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the establishment of a student outcomes pilot program |
|
|
by Alamo Community College District. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 130, Education Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 130.0105 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 130.0105. ESTABLISHMENT OF STUDENT OUTCOMES PILOT |
|
|
PROGRAM BY ALAMO COMMUNITY COLLEGE. (a) Alamo Community College |
|
|
District shall establish a pilot program to collect and analyze |
|
|
statistical data regarding student outcomes at the college in order |
|
|
to: |
|
|
(1) facilitate accountability of the college by |
|
|
determining the efficacy of instruction by the college and |
|
|
examining the transition of students to four-year institutions of |
|
|
higher education; and |
|
|
(2) further ongoing education excellence initiatives |
|
|
by the college. |
|
|
(b) This section expires September 1, 2017. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
