A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of the Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation |
|
|
District to exempt property from ad valorem taxation. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 3.0111, Chapter 966, Acts of the 77th |
|
|
Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, is amended by adding Subsection |
|
|
(i) to read as follows: |
|
|
(i) Subsections (f), (g), and (h) of this section do not |
|
|
apply until the first tax year following the year in which the |
|
|
district imposes an ad valorem tax for administrative, operation, |
|
|
or maintenance expenses at a rate of three cents per $100 valuation. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
