HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Mark R. Warren of Plainview has completed his term
  as president of the Texas Association of Insurance and Financial
  Advisors for 2005-2006, and he has served his colleagues well in
  leading one of the nation's largest state associations of insurance
  agents and financial services professionals; and
         WHEREAS, The co-owner of Morgan-Eaves Insurance Agency, Mr.
  Warren is a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, and he
  brought 30 years of experience to his role as TAIFA's 81st
  president; and
         WHEREAS, His prominence in the insurance industry is
  underscored by his many contributions to TAIFA, which include
  service as president of the Plainview Association of Insurance and
  Financial Advisors, five years as a TAIFA regional director,
  committed involvement in TAIFAPAC, and multiple years on the board
  of directors of TAIFA's own honor organization, the Texas Leaders
  Round Table; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Warren is a graduate of North Texas State
  University, where he earned a B.B.A. in marketing; in all of his
  endeavors, he has been supported by his wife of 26 years, Freada,
  and together, they have striven to honor the memory of their son,
  Clay, who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2002; in
  remembrance of this fine young Texan, who was an organ donor, the
  Warren family has actively advocated for organ donation; moreover,
  they established the Clay R. Warren Memorial Risk Management
  Retreat for campus organizations at Texas Tech University in an
  effort to create a safer environment for students; and
         WHEREAS, Mark R. Warren has distinguished himself as a leader
  in his professional field, and his hard work and dedication have
  contributed greatly to the goals and achievements of TAIFA; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby honor Mark R. Warren for his service as 2005-2006 president
  of the Texas Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Warren as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives and Senate.
