CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Austin-based Tuerff-Davis EnviroMedia, Inc., is the |
|
|
nation's only full-service public relations and advertising agency |
|
|
dedicated solely to improving public health and the environment; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founders and principals Kevin Tuerff and Valerie |
|
|
Davis are former State of Texas employees with more than 30 years of |
|
|
combined experience developing social marketing campaigns that get |
|
|
results to improve our quality of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its inception in February 1997, EnviroMedia |
|
|
has established itself as a nationally recognized agency that has |
|
|
produced more than 100 advertising and marketing campaigns for |
|
|
clients with the goal of improving environmental quality and public |
|
|
health; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The accomplishments of EnviroMedia have contributed |
|
|
to the success of many State of Texas agencies, including the Texas |
|
|
Commission on Environmental Quality, the Department of State Health |
|
|
Services, the Department of Public Safety, the Health and Human |
|
|
Services Commission, the Texas Department of Transportation, the |
|
|
Texas Water Development Board, and the Lower Colorado River |
|
|
Authority; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, February 2007 marks 10 consecutive and successful |
|
|
years of small business entrepreneurship, ethical leadership, and |
|
|
community service for this dynamic and innovative agency, and this |
|
|
special anniversary provides a welcome opportunity to recognize its |
|
|
owners and employees; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
|
hereby commend Tuerff-Davis EnviroMedia, Inc., and its outstanding |
|
|
staff for 10 years of commitment and dedication to the State of |
|
|
Texas, its citizens, and the environment; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Tuerff-Davis EnviroMedia, Inc., as an expression of |
|
|
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate. |
