CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A delegation from the Rolling Plains Communities |
|
|
Partnership is visiting Austin on February 28, 2007, to celebrate |
|
|
Rolling Plains Day at the State Capitol; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Rolling Plains Communities Partnership |
|
|
encourages rural counties to pool their resources in an effort to |
|
|
promote economic and community development; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the Lone Star State, the counties of Wheeler, |
|
|
Donley, Collingsworth, Briscoe, Hall, Childress, Motley, Cottle, |
|
|
Foard, and Hardeman have all benefited from the partnership's work; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The direction and planning provided by the Rolling |
|
|
Plains Communities Partnership have been an asset to many Texas |
|
|
residents, and it is a pleasure to honor the efforts of this |
|
|
outstanding group; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
|
hereby recognize February 28, 2007, as Rolling Plains Day at the |
|
|
State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting members of |
|
|
the Rolling Plains Communities Partnership. |
