CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, Larry Carroll of Midland has made immeasurable |
|
contributions in the lives of countless individuals throughout his |
|
30 years of exceptional service with Permian Basin Community |
|
Centers (PBCC) for Mental Health and Mental Retardation; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Carroll joined the organization in 1977 as |
|
director of finance; named deputy executive director in 1992 and |
|
executive director in 1995, he continues to provide exceptional |
|
guidance to his staff, and his efforts have been instrumental in the |
|
growth and development of PBCC, both in size and in service to the |
|
citizens of Brewster, Culberson, Ector, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, |
|
Midland, Pecos, and Presidio Counties; and |
|
WHEREAS, This graduate of Howard Payne University and |
|
Leadership Odessa has further benefited those in need by lending |
|
his expertise to the Texas Council of Community MHMR Centers, Inc., |
|
serving as a president of both the Executive Directors Consortium |
|
and the Chief Financial Officers Association; currently the chair |
|
of the Texas Council Risk Management Fund Advisory Committee, he |
|
has also volunteered with the Association for Retarded Citizens; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Carroll and his wife, Elizabeth, are the parents |
|
of three children; in addition to his devotion to his family and to |
|
PBCC, he also has given of his time and talents to the Permian Basin |
|
Fair and Exposition, which he served as president, and to the Rotary |
|
Club, and he enjoys ranching, hunting, and fishing; and |
|
WHEREAS, Larry Carroll has set an outstanding example of |
|
leadership to which all may aspire, and he is most deserving of |
|
special recognition for his achievements with PBCC; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
hereby commend Larry Carroll on his 30 years of service with Permian |
|
Basin Community Centers for Mental Health and Mental Retardation |
|
and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Carroll as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives and Senate. |
