HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Beverly Marie Pevehouse of Midland has made a
  positive difference in the lives of countless people, and she is
  being honored on March 20, 2007, by the National Multiple Sclerosis
  Society with a Hope Award, the highest honor given by the
  organization; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to maintaining a busy professional life
  that includes managing several family-owned businesses, Mrs.
  Pevehouse works tirelessly for the betterment of Midland and West
  Texas, serving as a member of the advisory board grants committee of
  the Permian Basin Area Foundation, the Midland College Foundation
  board, and the board of governors of the Midland Memorial
  Foundation and the Museum of the Southwest; other organizations
  that have benefited from her dedicated involvement are the City of
  Midland Aquatics, Midland Presbyterian Homes, the Alexis de
  Tocqueville Society of Midland, and the Chancellor's Council of
  Texas Tech University; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Pevehouse has also contributed greatly to the
  Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research, which she served as a
  trustee, and to the Community & Senior Services of Midland, where
  she was the honorary chair for 2005; and
         WHEREAS, Family plays a central role in the life of this
  compassionate woman, and she takes great pride in her daughter,
  Melissa, her son, Clay, and her four grandchildren, Evan, Sara,
  Katie, and Laura; and
         WHEREAS, Long committed to helping her fellow Texans, Beverly
  Pevehouse continues to set an inspiring example of leadership and
  service to others; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby congratulate Beverly Marie Pevehouse on her receipt of the
  Hope Award from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and commend
  her for her many good works and deeds; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Pevehouse as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
