CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately convey the deep sorrow felt |
|
at the tragic death of Zane Daniel Newsom of Paris, who passed away |
|
on March 10, 2007, at the age of 14; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on June 15, 1992, in Sulphur Springs, Zane |
|
Newsom was a freshman at Roxton High School, where he participated |
|
in FFA and was a promising baseball player and rodeo athlete; |
|
moreover, he attended the Cowboy Church and was a valued member of |
|
its ranch rodeo team; and |
|
WHEREAS, A friend to everyone he met, this fine young Texan |
|
impressed others with his exuberance, kindness, and generosity; |
|
although his presence will be deeply missed, his memory will |
|
forever light the hearts of all who knew him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
hereby pay tribute to the life of Zane Daniel Newsom and extend |
|
sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Greg |
|
and Amy Newsom; to his brothers, Lane and Dillon Newsom; to his |
|
grandparents, Wanda Smith, Jimmy and Renee Newsom, and Kathy and |
|
Dwayne Ballard; to his great-grandparents, Mamie Newsom and Louise |
|
and Jewel Cope; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of |
|
Zane Daniel Newsom. |
