CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Sulphur Springs High School student Rachel Ming has
  qualified for the 2007 Business Professionals of America (BPA)
  National Leadership Conference and Contest to be held in New York
  City in May; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Ming earned the right to compete at the national
  event after placing first in the computerized accounting contest
  during the BPA 2007 State Leadership Conference, which was held in
  Corpus Christi and which was attended by 2,000 students from across
  the state; and
         WHEREAS, BPA is a national organization for students
  preparing for careers in business and office occupations; its
  conferences include business skills competitions covering
  workforce education and training issues; and
         WHEREAS, Rachel Ming is an outstanding student who has
  demonstrated admirable dedication and perseverance in the pursuit
  of her goals, and she merits special recognition for her
  achievements at the BPA state conference; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby congratulate Rachel Ming on qualifying for the BPA National
  Leadership Conference and Contest and extend to her best wishes for
  the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Ming as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives and Senate.
