CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, Sulphur Springs High School student Rachel Ming has |
|
qualified for the 2007 Business Professionals of America (BPA) |
|
National Leadership Conference and Contest to be held in New York |
|
City in May; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Ming earned the right to compete at the national |
|
event after placing first in the computerized accounting contest |
|
during the BPA 2007 State Leadership Conference, which was held in |
|
Corpus Christi and which was attended by 2,000 students from across |
|
the state; and |
|
WHEREAS, BPA is a national organization for students |
|
preparing for careers in business and office occupations; its |
|
conferences include business skills competitions covering |
|
workforce education and training issues; and |
|
WHEREAS, Rachel Ming is an outstanding student who has |
|
demonstrated admirable dedication and perseverance in the pursuit |
|
of her goals, and she merits special recognition for her |
|
achievements at the BPA state conference; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
hereby congratulate Rachel Ming on qualifying for the BPA National |
|
Leadership Conference and Contest and extend to her best wishes for |
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Ming as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives and Senate. |
