CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Patricia Montgomery has been named Outstanding
  Juvenile Probation Officer of the Year for 2006 by the Harris County
  Juvenile Probation Department; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Sam Houston State University, Pat
  Montgomery began her career with the department in 1977 at the
  Burnett-Bayland Home; she later joined the staff of the Juvenile
  Detention Center, where she served in several capacities before
  becoming a transfer coordinator with health services; throughout
  her tenure, she has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment
  to her clients, an enthusiasm for tackling new challenges, and an
  excellent work ethic; moreover, she is widely respected for her
  cheerful and professional demeanor; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Montgomery is devoted to her family, including
  her husband, Mike, her two children, Laura and Nathan, and her
  stepson, Andrew, and in her leisure time she enjoys traveling,
  taking cooking classes, and spending time with her loved ones; and
         WHEREAS, Our public institutions depend on the dedication and
  professionalism of individuals such as Pat Montgomery to
  effectively serve their clients, and it is indeed fitting to
  commend her for her exceptional efforts in behalf of the young
  people of Harris County; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby congratulate Patricia Montgomery on being named Outstanding
  Juvenile Probation Officer of the Year for 2006 by the Harris County
  Juvenile Probation Department and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Montgomery as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
