CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
  and shared experiences, and Wesley and Bertha Krueger of Houston
  are celebrating this joyous milestone in their marriage on June 15,
  2007; and
         WHEREAS, Wes Krueger and the former Bertha Agnes "Puddin"
  Domaschk were joined in matrimony in 1957 at a ceremony held at
  Immanuel Lutheran Church in Houston; the couple graduated during
  the same week in 1959, Mr. Krueger from the University of Houston
  and Mrs. Krueger from Rice University; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, the Kruegers have been blessed
  with a treasured family that includes five children and their
  spouses, Wesley Ray Krueger and his wife, Diane, Tammy Lynn Krueger
  and her husband, Daniel Johnston, Kenneth Karl Krueger and his
  wife, Kathleen Yochim, Ben Ernest Krueger and his wife, Beth
  DuPriest, and Katherine Kay Krueger and her husband, Thomas McNeal,
  as well as 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of the community, Mr. Krueger
  retired from Schlumberger Well Services in 1986 and currently
  serves as a legislative aide/neighborhood liaison for State
  Representative Dwayne Bohac, while Mrs. Krueger is a retired
  accountant; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed couple are lifelong Lutherans and have
  been valued members of Gethsemane Lutheran Church since 1963; Mr.
  Krueger has also been affiliated with the Houston Lutheran Chorale,
  the Harris County Heritage Society, the Mangum Manor Civic Club,
  the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Boy Scouts of America,
  the Republican Party, and the Senior Olympics; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to working with Camp Fire and the Cub
  Scouts, Mrs. Krueger has given of her time and talents to the
  Scarborough High Booster Club, the Houston Lutheran Activity
  Committee, the Lutheran Intercity Network Coalition, and the
  Houston Lutheran Chorale; she has served on the executive boards of
  the Zone, District, and National Lutheran Women's Missionary
  League, and from 1992 to 1998, she was a member of the board of
  regents of Concordia University in Austin; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Krueger have enjoyed five decades of
  abiding love and affection for one another, and their marriage is a
  continuing source of joy and inspiration to all who have shared in
  the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby congratulate Wesley and Bertha Krueger on their 50th wedding
  anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Krueger as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
