CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Teresa Terry of Pflugerville, beloved wife, friend,
  and teacher, passed away on April 25, 2007, at the age of 40, and
  memories of her generous spirit and her zest for life remain to
  comfort all those whose lives she touched; and
         WHEREAS, A dedicated elementary school teacher, Ms. Terry
  taught kindergarten in the Austin, Round Rock, and Wichita Falls
  school districts and most recently worked with first-graders at
  Wells Branch Elementary School, where she was named the 2005-2006
  Teacher of the Year; respected and admired by her colleagues, she
  believed wholeheartedly in the ability of her students and brought
  out the best in them with her thoughtful guidance and caring ways;
  and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Terry was also a talented artist and avid
  photographer who enjoyed taking pictures of her beloved pets and
  often invited her friends to sit for family portraits; moreover,
  she took great pleasure in collecting children's books and over the
  years amassed more than a thousand titles; and
         WHEREAS, In 1990, she married Michael Terry, with whom she
  had been friends since their teenage years, and the couple shared a
  close and loving bond; and
         WHEREAS, Although her journey on this earth ended far too
  soon, Teresa Terry enriched the lives of countless people with her
  warmth, devotion, and enthusiasm, and she will long be remembered
  by all those who were privileged to share in her love and
  friendship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby pay tribute to the life of Teresa Terry and extend sincere
  sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Mike Terry;
  to her parents, Patricia and Raymond R. Youngblood and Lynn
  Youngblood; to her brothers, Bryan Youngblood and Dan Clarke; to
  her brothers-in-law, Rich Terry and his wife, Eloise, and David
  Terry and his wife, Karen; and to her other relatives and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
  Teresa Terry.
