HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The life of Brent Douglas Wilson of Paris was cut
  tragically short on April 26, 2007, at the age of 13, and the Texas
  House of Representatives and Senate join his family and friends in
  mourning their loss; and
         WHEREAS, Born to Timothy Douglas Wilson and Glenna Ann Kelley
  in San Diego, California, Brent was a seventh-grade student at
  Stone Middle School in Paris; in addition to playing first-chair
  trumpet in the honors band, he quarterbacked the seventh-grade B
  football team and also competed in track and basketball; and
         WHEREAS, This admirable Texan was an active congregant of
  Canaanland Church of God, where he played the electric guitar; and
         WHEREAS, Brent Wilson brought immeasurable joy to his parents
  and to all who were privileged to be a part of his life, and the
  memory of this beloved young man will forever endure in the hearts
  of those who knew and treasured him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby pay tribute to the life of Brent Douglas Wilson and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his mother, Glenna
  A. Kelley; to his father, Timothy D. Wilson; to his sisters, Cassie
  and Natalie Wilson; to his brothers, Joey Martin and Rhett Kelley;
  to his paternal grandparents, Joann Richardson and Ron Wilson; to
  his maternal grandparents, Linda Dale and Johnny Kelley; and to his
  other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
  Brent Douglas Wilson.
