CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, The life of Brent Douglas Wilson of Paris was cut |
|
tragically short on April 26, 2007, at the age of 13, and the Texas |
|
House of Representatives and Senate join his family and friends in |
|
mourning their loss; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born to Timothy Douglas Wilson and Glenna Ann Kelley |
|
in San Diego, California, Brent was a seventh-grade student at |
|
Stone Middle School in Paris; in addition to playing first-chair |
|
trumpet in the honors band, he quarterbacked the seventh-grade B |
|
football team and also competed in track and basketball; and |
|
WHEREAS, This admirable Texan was an active congregant of |
|
Canaanland Church of God, where he played the electric guitar; and |
|
WHEREAS, Brent Wilson brought immeasurable joy to his parents |
|
and to all who were privileged to be a part of his life, and the |
|
memory of this beloved young man will forever endure in the hearts |
|
of those who knew and treasured him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
hereby pay tribute to the life of Brent Douglas Wilson and extend |
|
sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his mother, Glenna |
|
A. Kelley; to his father, Timothy D. Wilson; to his sisters, Cassie |
|
and Natalie Wilson; to his brothers, Joey Martin and Rhett Kelley; |
|
to his paternal grandparents, Joann Richardson and Ron Wilson; to |
|
his maternal grandparents, Linda Dale and Johnny Kelley; and to his |
|
other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of |
|
Brent Douglas Wilson. |
