R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Buster and Merlyn Rivers of Point |
|
|
observed this notable milestone on February 1, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, United in matrimony in 1947, Mr. and Mrs. Rivers |
|
|
have been blessed with a cherished family, and their children, |
|
|
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren honored them with a special |
|
|
dinner on February 3; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rivers are among a remarkable group of |
|
|
men and women who can claim such a lasting commitment, and their 60 |
|
|
years together offers eloquent testimony to the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Buster and Merlyn Rivers on their 60th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rivers as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
