R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Randy Reynolds of Austin has completed his term as
  president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas for
  2005-2006, and he has served his colleagues well in leading one of
  the nation's largest state associations of independent insurance
  agents; and
         WHEREAS, The managing partner of Texas Associates Insurors in
  Austin and vice president of the Insurors Group, an alliance of
  insurance agencies throughout Texas, Mr. Reynolds brought
  extensive expertise to his role as IIAT president, having also
  worked as a regional marketing manager with American General Fire &
  Casualty Company before entering the agency business in his
  hometown of Odessa; and
         WHEREAS, His prominence in the insurance community is
  underscored by his many contributions to IIAT, including service as
  chair of the group's industry relations, legislation, and finance
  committees; he has previously served as president of the
  Independent Insurance Agents of Odessa as well as the Independent
  Insurance Agents of Austin, from which he received a 2004
  Distinguished Service Award; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Rice University, where he was a star
  basketball player, Mr. Reynolds has enjoyed the love and support of
  his wife, Niki, throughout his career, and they take great pride in
  their sons, Ryan and Reid; and
         WHEREAS, Randy Reynolds has distinguished himself as a leader
  in his professional field, and his hard work and dedication have
  contributed greatly to the goals and achievements of IIAT; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Randy Reynolds for his service as
  president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas for
  2005-2006 and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Reynolds as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
