R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to a close with the
  passing of Dorothy Perkins Doran Fournier of Kerrville on December
  15, 2006, at the age of 97; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Alice to Walter and Edith Perkins on October
  6, 1909, Mrs. Fournier attended Texas A & I University in Kingsville
  and was a graduate of Westmoreland College in San Antonio; and
         WHEREAS, In 1940, this beloved woman married William H.
  Doran, who preceded her in death in 1962; lucky to find love a
  second time, she married Retired Colonel Roland P. "Jack" Fournier
  in 1968, and they shared many happy years until his death in 2000;
  and
         WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Kerrville, Mrs. Fournier was
  active with the Hill Country Arts Foundation; she was a lifetime
  member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and a valued
  congregant of First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, where she
  gave of her time and talents as a teacher and pianist; and
         WHEREAS, Dorothy Fournier was held in the highest regard by
  all who knew her; she will be deeply missed, but she will always be
  remembered with great affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Dorothy Perkins Doran
  Fournier and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
  to her daughter, Evelyn Doran Hickey and her husband, Mike; to her
  stepson, W. H. "Bill" Doran, Jr., and his wife, Onica; to her
  grandchildren, Bill Hickey and his wife, Traci, Diana Howard and
  her husband, Larry, David Hickey and his wife, Shaneye, Jim Hickey
  and his wife, Rhonda, and Drexel Doran and his wife, Barbara; to her
  great-grandchildren, Grant Hickey, Blair Howard, Katie Howard,
  Grace Hickey, Aidan Hickey, and Will Doran; and to her other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dorothy
  Perkins Doran Fournier.
