R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The citizens of Kerr County lost a lifelong resident
  and dedicated community leader with the July 20, 2006, passing of
  former County Commissioner Glenn Holekamp; and
         WHEREAS, Born on September 2, 1946, Mr. Holekamp had a career
  in agriculture production, sales, marketing, and merchandizing,
  and in 1988, he was elected Kerr County commissioner for Precinct 3;
  after leaving office following his second term, he continued to
  serve the county as facilities and maintenance supervisor, a post
  he held for nearly a decade; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan married the former Edith
  Allerkamp on December 17, 1976, and the couple was blessed with a
  son, Wesley; descended from one of the area's oldest families,
  Mr. Holekamp was known for his knowledge and appreciation of Kerr
  County history; and
         WHEREAS, Glenn Holekamp was devoted to his family and his
  community, and although he is greatly missed, memories of time
  spent in his company may comfort all those who were privileged to
  know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Glenn Holekamp and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Edith Allerkamp Holekamp; to his son, Wesley Holekamp and his wife,
  Brandy; to his parents, Morris and Gertrude Holekamp; to his
  brothers, Clyde Holekamp and his wife, Cheryl, and Kirby Holekamp
  and his wife, Doreen; to his mother-in-law, Paula Allerkamp; to his
  in-laws, Garil and Shirley Allerkamp, James and Carol Allerkamp,
  and Eyrline Behrends; and to his other relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Glenn
  Holekamp.
