R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, January 28, 2007, marks the 40th wedding anniversary
  of Arthur Rudolph and Tommie Lynn Ayles of Pasadena, and this joyous
  event provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable
  journey together as husband and wife; and
         WHEREAS, Rudy Ayles and the former Tommie Lucas were joined
  in matrimony in 1967 at a ceremony held at the First United
  Methodist Church in Pasadena; through the years, they have been
  blessed with a treasured family that includes two children and
  their spouses, Ara Ayles Hardig and her husband, John Joseph
  "J. J.," and Wendi Suzanne Lojo and her husband, Kenneth Michael,
  as well as one granddaughter, Charlotte Lynn Hardig, of whom they
  are very proud; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Ayles graduated from Sunset High School in
  Dallas and Southwestern University in Georgetown; he is retired
  from a uniform and dry cleaning business, Aylesco, Inc., that he
  owned for more than 20 years, and he is a member of the Harris County
  Appraisal Review Board; Mrs. Ayles graduated from Pasadena High
  School and Southwestern University, and she has taught kindergarten
  in the Pasadena ISD for 32 years; and
         WHEREAS, The 40 years that Mr. and Mrs. Ayles have shared is
  eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and commitment, and
  their enduring union is an inspiration to all who know them; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Rudy and Tommie Ayles on their 40th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes for
  continued happiness together; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ayles as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
