R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce has long played |
|
|
a vital role in assisting local businesses and promoting economic |
|
|
expansion in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and on |
|
|
February 2, 2007, the chamber is celebrating its 25th anniversary; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This forward-looking organization serves an area of |
|
|
approximately 44 square miles, with an estimated population of |
|
|
63,000; representing one of the fastest growing cities in the |
|
|
state, chamber members and staff are working energetically to |
|
|
encourage economic development and managed growth while at the same |
|
|
time protecting the environment; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to helping to recruit new industry and |
|
|
commercial enterprises, the chamber provides its members with |
|
|
numerous opportunities to share experiences, promote their |
|
|
businesses, and collaborate with others in building an even |
|
|
stronger community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Notable projects sponsored by the chamber include |
|
|
the Mardi Gras Ball, the Chamber Golf Classic, Leadership Flower |
|
|
Mound, and Fiesta Flower Mound; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to fostering business growth and |
|
|
enhancing the quality of life of area citizens, the Flower Mound |
|
|
chamber is shaping the development of its community in myriad ways, |
|
|
and it is a pleasure to commend this outstanding organization for |
|
|
its vision, commitment, and dynamic leadership; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Flower Mound Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and extend to its |
|
|
members and staff sincere best wishes for continued success; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce as an expression |
|
|
of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
