R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Galena Manor Civic Club's Recreation and Aerobic |
|
|
Class is marking its 10th anniversary in 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1997 to meet the exercise needs of |
|
|
senior citizens in Galena Park, the class was organized by Taggy |
|
|
Hall, Mabel J. Abbs, Eddie Lee and Dalton Goodbeer, and Saye Joyce |
|
|
Wright; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout the past decade, the class has played a |
|
|
vital role in the wellness of its members, offering aerobics |
|
|
classes, line dancing courses, and access to treadmills and |
|
|
bicycles; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Physical fitness is an integral component of a |
|
|
healthy lifestyle, and Galena Manor Civic Club's Recreation and |
|
|
Aerobic Class has provided and continues to provide seniors with |
|
|
opportunities to achieve this important goal; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Galena |
|
|
Manor Civic Club's Recreation and Aerobic Class and extend to its |
|
|
members best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
