R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The family and friends of Hector X. Najar, Sr., of
  San Antonio were deeply saddened by his passing on November 14,
  2006; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Brownsville on January 5, 1941, Mr. Najar
  was a valued member of his community; he attended St. Luke's
  Catholic Church, where he was active in the institution's men's
  club, and he was also active in the IBEW Local Union #60; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Najar was also devoted to his family, including
  his wife of 37 years, the late Yolanda Najar, his children, and his
  grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Hector Najar was a man of compassion and generosity,
  and although his loss has left a void in the lives of those who knew
  and loved him, his spirit lives on in their hearts; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Hector X. Najar, Sr.,
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  daughter, Aida Najar-Scurka and her husband, Paul; to his sons,
  Hector X. Najar II and his wife, Mary, and Troy S. Najar; to his
  mother, Evangalina Najar; to his grandchildren, Kirsten C. Najar
  and Lauren T. Najar; to his sister, Dolores Nevares; to his brother,
  Manuel Najar, Jr.; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Hector X.
