R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot express the heartache felt at the loss
  of U.S. Army Specialist Mitchel Thomas Mutz of Falls City, who died
  in Iraq on November 15, 2006, at the age of 23; and
         WHEREAS, Assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry
  Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort
  Hood, Specialist Mutz was on his second tour of duty in Iraq when he
  was mortally wounded in Baquba; and
         WHEREAS, Born in San Antonio, Specialist Mutz graduated in
  2001 from Falls City High School, where he was a member of the
  basketball and golf teams; he attended Coastal Bend College for two
  years before making the decision to serve his country in February
  2003; six months later, he began specialized training to become a
  cavalry scout; and
         WHEREAS, Our state and nation are fortunate to have young men
  and women whose love of country leads them to military duty, and
  time can never diminish the profound debt that Americans owe to
  Mitchel Mutz for the service he undertook and the sacrifice he
  rendered; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Specialist
  Mitchel Thomas Mutz and extend sincere sympathy to the members of
  his family: to his parents, Bobby and Dixie Mutz; to his brother,
  Nathan Mutz, and his wife, Shawna; to his grandmother, Elizabeth
  Mutz; to his grandparents, Roy and Mary Louise Pullin; and to his
  other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army
  Specialist Mitchel Thomas Mutz.
