R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The dollhouse craftsmanship of William Laing has
  delighted his friends and neighbors for many years; and
         WHEREAS, A native of New York, Bill Laing moved to Texas in
  1966 and has resided in Kerrville for nearly two decades; drawing on
  the rich tradition of miniature craftsmanship, he began making
  wooden dollhouses in the early 1980s; of the numerous creations he
  has since made, he has sold only one, preferring instead to give
  them away to their many admirers; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Laing is supported by his
  wife, Laura, and their children, Nancy, Pamela, Janet, and Herbert;
  and
         WHEREAS, Bill Laing has brightened the lives of countless
  people with his charming miniature models, and it is indeed fitting
  to recognize this talented gentleman for his admirable skill and
  generosity of spirit; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor William Laing for his outstanding
  dollhouse craftsmanship and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Laing as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
