R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Craig Desmond was named CEO and president of Texsan |
|
|
Heart Hospital in San Antonio in January 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Desmond is bringing to his new post 15 years of |
|
|
experience as a health care executive; he served as vice president |
|
|
of physician and hospital operations at San Jacinto Methodist |
|
|
Hospital in Baytown and as CEO of the Medical Center of Southeast |
|
|
Texas in Port Arthur; under his guidance, the Port Arthur facility |
|
|
was recognized as one of the top 100 heart hospitals in the country; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texsan Heart Hospital is a licensed acute-care |
|
|
facility with a primary focus on providing leading cardiovascular |
|
|
care to residents of southwest Texas; opened in January 2004, the |
|
|
hospital has four operating suites, four cardiac catheterization |
|
|
labs, a day patient area, and a cardiovascular emergency |
|
|
department; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Craig Desmond will no doubt benefit Texsan Heart |
|
|
Hospital with outstanding leadership skills and noted |
|
|
professionalism, helping the institution provide even higher |
|
|
levels of quality care and customer service; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Craig Desmond on being named CEO |
|
|
and president of Texsan Heart Hospital and extend to him best wishes |
|
|
for success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Desmond as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
