R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation |
|
|
Department honors outstanding women as Volunteer Moms of the Year; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Recipients of this prestigious honor have each made |
|
|
unique contributions to their community and have earned the respect |
|
|
and admiration of all who know them with their outstanding |
|
|
willingness to serve; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A 2006 Volunteer Mom of the Year, Lynn Munson is a |
|
|
most deserving recipient of this honor; this mother of two gives |
|
|
generously of her time and talents as a cheerleading sponsor, and |
|
|
she excels in recruiting youths for participation in after-school |
|
|
programs; she truly makes her love of volunteering evident in all of |
|
|
her endeavors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By helping to make El Paso a better place in which to |
|
|
live, work, and raise a family, Ms. Munson has demonstrated a level |
|
|
of civic involvement to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lynn Munson on being named a |
|
|
Volunteer Mom of the Year by the City of El Paso Parks and |
|
|
Recreation Department and extend to her best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Munson as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
