R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation |
|
Department honors outstanding women as Volunteer Moms of the Year; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Recipients of this prestigious honor have each made |
|
unique contributions to their community and have earned the respect |
|
and admiration of all who know them with their outstanding |
|
willingness to serve; and |
|
WHEREAS, A 2006 Volunteer Mom of the Year, Susan Wiggs is a |
|
most deserving recipient of this honor; Ms. Wiggs has given |
|
generously of her time and her noted organizational abilities in |
|
planning, implementing, and promoting a host of events, and her |
|
efforts have made a positive difference in her community time and |
|
time again; and |
|
WHEREAS, By helping to make El Paso a better place in which to |
|
live, work, and raise a family, Ms. Wiggs has demonstrated a level |
|
of civic involvement to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Susan Wiggs on being named a |
|
Volunteer Mom of the Year by the City of El Paso Parks and |
|
Recreation Department and extend to her best wishes for the future; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Wiggs as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
